Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 at the Children’s Museum of Yuma County
Help us celebrate the 50thAnniversary of Apollo 11. We’re down to our final 8 days of the summer season. Wed-Sat, 10:30am-5:00pm @ the Yuma Art Center, 254 S. Main St. Admission is $2/person and includes all regular activities.

Select Activities from the NISENet Explore Science: Earth and Space Toolkit (not all activities will be presented each day)

Thurs @ 11am & 12pm Museum Ballet Bound with Ms. Emma from Yuma Ballet Academy & Ballet Yuma for this fun introduction to dance.
Thurs 3-5pm Sensory-Friendly Hours
If you have a child who experiences sensory sensitivities or is on the autism spectrum, Thursday, July 18 and July 25 will feature sensory-friendly hours from 3-5pm when we usually have fewer visitors.
Th-Fri @ 1:30pm Beading Art with our intern Noami. This activity is for children 9 and older who can listen to and follow multi-step directions. Children 6-8 can participate but will need help from a parent or caregiver. Noami will be teaching how to make beaded snakes using colorful pony beads.

Celebrate the 50thAnniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon
- Throughout the day, we will hear local educator Lisa Love present information from her recent journey to be part of NASA Social at a recent launch at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
- Apollo 11 videos on the touch screen periodically throughout the day (the Winds of Color Wind Machine will be turned off for today).
