Our second week of the summer season is underway. Visit us Wednesday-Saturday 10:30am-5:00pm at the Yuma Art Center 254 S. Main St. in downtown Yuma. Admission is $2/person and children must be accompanied by an adult/adults must be accompanied by a child. Entrance this week is through the gift shop while construction is being done on the sidewalk in front of the Art Center. You don’t want to miss the fun!

This week:

Our Restaurant of the Week sponsor is El Charro Café. Thanks for adding such a festive mood to our restaurant this week.

In our Mission: Space Connections exhibit, Camille and Andrew will be making stomp rockets with our kids throughout the day Wednesday through Friday. This activity was a huge hit last summer.

Have you checked out our new We Built This City exhibit? Pay close attention to our budding healthcare professionals as they play in our new medical clinic sponsored by YRMC. This clinic was professionally designed and fabricated by Nicomia in Phoenix. Thank you, YRMC, for making this opportunity possible.

Special Outreach Event on Saturday:

On Saturday from 11am-4pm, outreach educators from Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff will be leading different space-related activities in the museum. That same evening from 8:30-11:00pm, we will have a star and moon gazing event at the Foothills Library. Bring water, chairs, binoculars and a healthy dose of curiosity as we gaze at the skies above Yuma. Lowell Observatory and the Library will be providing telescopes, binoculars, and expertise. Night sky photographer Ty Cook will also be in attendance for anyone wanting to learn more about night sky photography.
